How to accurately control the oil level of CWU140 worm gear reducer
To accurately control the oil level of the CWU140 worm gear reducer, it is necessary to combine standard operating procedures with modern intelligent technology, and carry out refined management in multiple links from initial filling, daily monitoring to automatic oil replenishment.1、 Initial filling and standard oil level
The correct initial oil level is the foundation of precise control. For the CWU series worm gear reducer, there are clear standards for oil level control:
1. Basic standard: Add oil to the centerline position of the oil level gauge (oil window).
2. Accurate standard: To ensure sufficient lubrication of the worm gear, the oil surface should be submerged at one tooth height of the worm gear, or at 2 to 3 times the tooth height of the worm gear.
3. Timing of inspection: The oil level should be checked after the gearbox is stopped and left to stand for a period of time, and the oil should be completely returned to the oil tank to avoid inaccurate readings caused by oil splashing during operation.
Important reminder: Excessive oil level can lead to increased oil mixing loss, abnormal increase in oil temperature, and energy waste; If the oil level is too low, it will lead to insufficient lubrication, exacerbate wear, and even cause equipment damage.

2、 Daily monitoring and maintenance
Establishing a standardized daily inspection system is the key to maintaining accurate oil levels.
1. Regular visual inspection: Incorporate oil level check into daily checklist and regularly observe whether the oil level is within the normal range through the oil level gauge.
2. Check the respirator: Ensure that the respirator (vent valve) on the top of the gearbox is unobstructed. Blockage of the respirator can cause abnormal pressure inside the box, which may lead to oil leakage or affect the accuracy of oil level display.
3. Monitoring oil quality: Regularly observe the color and condition of lubricating oil. If the oil is found to be emulsified, blackened, or contain a large amount of metal impurities, it should be replaced immediately, as deteriorated oil can affect lubrication effectiveness and equipment life.
