The reason why the planetary reducer needs to be equipped with a ventilation cap
Planetary reducers are a widely used industrial product, with performance comparable to other military grade reducers, but at the same price as industrial grade products. Planetary reducers are used as supporting components by manufacturers in industries such as lifting, excavation, transportation, and construction. But when using planetary reducers, we should pay special attention to the following three points.
1. The planetary reducer must be equipped with a ventilation cap
Before use, the blockage at the highest position should be replaced with an exhaust plug to ensure that the gas in the body is discharged during the operation of the reducer. If not replaced in a timely manner, the gearbox will run for a long time, causing the gas inside the gearbox to expand the oil seal and even cause the gearbox to leak oil.
2. Do not hammer the planetary reducer
When installing coupling, pulley, sprocket, and other connecting parts on the output shaft of the reducer, direct hammering cannot be used. As the output shaft structure of the reducer cannot withstand axial hammering, screws can be screwed into the shaft end screw hole to press the connecting parts.
3. Replace the lubricating oil of the planetary reducer in a timely manner, paying special attention to the first time
Special attention should be paid to the first oil change. The gearbox should be replaced with lubricating oil in a timely manner after the first 300-400 hours of operation, and then every 1500-2000 hours. In addition, in harsh working environments, high temperatures, and dusty workplaces, the lubricating oil should be inspected every half month. If any dirt is found, the lubricating oil should be replaced to maintain cleanliness, extend the service life of the gearbox, and improve economic efficiency.
Changing the lubricating oil means: drain all the previous lubricating oil, rinse thoroughly, and then add new lubricating oil. The above are three items that planetary gearbox manufacturers should pay special attention to during use.
