How to determine whether the KF37D80N4-0.75KW reducer after shaft wear repair is running normally

To determine whether the KF37D80N4-0.75KW reducer after repairing shaft wear is operating normally, the following aspects can be taken into account:

Appearance and connection inspection

Appearance inspection: Observe whether there is oil leakage, shell cracks or deformation in the gearbox. If there is oil leakage, it may be due to damaged seals or improper installation; Cracks or deformations in the casing may affect the normal operation and safety of the gearbox.

Connection inspection: Check whether the bolts at each connection point are tightened, including the connecting bolts between the motor and the reducer, the fixing bolts of the reducer base, etc. Loose bolts may cause increased vibration during the operation of the gearbox, and even pose a risk of component detachment.

Mechanical performance inspection

Manual rotation test: Rotate the input shaft of the reducer by hand without power, and feel whether the rotation is smooth, whether there is any jamming or jerking sensation. Under normal circumstances, rotation should be uniform and without resistance. If it is difficult to rotate, it may be due to tight gear meshing, excessive interference during bearing installation, or foreign objects entering the reducer.

Gap inspection: Check the axial displacement and radial oscillation of the output shaft. The axial displacement should be ≤ 0.1mm and the radial oscillation should be ≤ 0.05mm. If the gap is too large, it may be due to bearing wear or loose installation. For open gears, the meshing clearance of the gears can also be checked to ensure that they meet the model standards of the reducer.

Electrical system inspection

Wiring inspection: Refer to the maintenance records to confirm the correct connection of power lines, control lines, etc., including the connection of motor winding terminals, grounding terminals, etc. Incorrect wiring may cause the motor to malfunction or result in safety accidents.

Insulation resistance test: Use a megohmmeter to test the insulation resistance of the motor winding to ground and between phases. The insulation resistance of the low-voltage motor winding to ground should be ≥ 5M Ω, and the insulation resistance between phases should be ≥ 10M Ω. If the resistance value is too low, it may be due to the winding being damp or the insulation layer being damaged, and it needs to be dried or repaired.

Grounding inspection: Confirm that the motor casing and gearbox casing are reliably grounded with a grounding resistance of ≤ 4 Ω to avoid the risk of leakage.

Monitoring of operational parameters

Temperature monitoring: During the operation of the reducer, use an infrared thermometer to monitor the temperature of the motor housing, reducer housing, and bearing parts. During no-load operation, the temperature should be ≤ ambient temperature+30 ℃, and the maximum temperature at the bearing part should not exceed 70 ℃; When operating under load, the temperature of the motor casing should be ≤ 80 ℃, the temperature of the reducer casing should be ≤ 90 ℃ (grease lubrication) or ≤ 100 ℃ (oil lubrication), and the temperature of the bearing parts should not exceed 95 ℃. If the temperature is too high, it may be caused by tight bearing installation, poor lubrication, or abnormal gear meshing.

Vibration monitoring: Use a vibration detector to measure the vibration acceleration at the output shaft end of the reducer, which should usually be ≤ 1.5mm/s. Excessive vibration may be caused by increased bearing clearance, poor gear meshing, loose base fixation, or inaccurate shaft alignment.
