The water and oil leakage faults of the roller press reducer are usually caused by multiple factors such as equipment structural design defects, seal failure, abnormal internal pressure, and harsh working conditions. To thoroughly solve this problem, it is necessary to investigate the root cause and implement systematic corrective measures.1、 Root cause of water seepage fault and rectification measures
In heavy-duty, high humidity, or dusty environments such as roller presses, cooling water, production steam, and metal impurities are highly likely to invade the interior of the gearbox.
1. Root cause analysis of water seepage:
External water vapor intrusion: The equipment is in a high temperature and high humidity environment for a long time, and cooling water or steam enters from weak positions such as the joint surface and sealing gap of the box.
Water quality issues in the cooling system: Poor control of circulating cooling water quality can lead to the thermal decomposition of calcium and magnesium carbonates in the water, resulting in the formation of scale. In severe cases, this can clog pipelines, affecting cooling efficiency and increasing system resistance.
2. Thorough rectification measures for water seepage:
Strengthen external sealing and protection: Implement the "plugging loopholes, strong sealing" transformation plan, strengthen the water prone parts such as the joint surface and sealing gap of the box, and block the external water vapor intrusion channel.
Add drainage and diversion structures: Optimize the box structure to achieve "drainage of accumulated water", such as adding diversion grooves in areas prone to water accumulation to prevent water from accumulating near the sealing surface.
Strict management of water quality and cooling system: Regularly clean plate heat exchangers and cooling pipelines to prevent the thickening of scale and deterioration of heat transfer. Ensure that the inlet temperature of the circulating cooling water meets the standard (such as ≤ 30 ℃) to ensure efficient operation of the cooling system.
2、 Root cause of oil leakage fault and rectification measures
Gearbox oil leakage is a high-frequency fault, and its root cause is often not a single aging seal, but a systemic problem.
1. Root cause analysis of oil leakage:
(1) Imbalance of internal and external pressure difference (the most common cause): Friction heating during the operation of the gearbox leads to an increase in temperature and pressure inside the box. If the ventilation cap (ventilation hole) is blocked by oil sludge or designed too small, the internal high pressure will squeeze the lubricating oil out of the weak sealing areas (such as the joint surface and shaft seal).

(2) Structural and assembly process defects:
The inspection hole cover plate is too thin, which is prone to deformation after tightening, resulting in uneven joint surfaces; The casting undergoes deformation due to unresolved internal stress.
The lack of a return oil groove or unreasonable design of the oil blocking ring in the box (such as using a cup cover shape that is prone to oil accumulation) results in the inability of splashing lubricating oil to flow back smoothly.
Insufficient cleaning of the joint surface during maintenance, incorrect selection of sealant, or uneven assembly stress.
