Does the quality grade of lubricating oil have a big impact on the output speed of S67-16.86-3KW reducer?

The quality level of lubricating oil has no direct impact on the theoretical output speed of S67-16.86-3KW reducer, but it has an indirect and significant impact on the effective output speed and speed stability in actual operation. The overall degree of impact needs to be judged based on the matching degree of quality level and the performance of the oil. If the matching rules are selected, the impact is minimal, and if the level is mismatched/poor quality oil, the impact is significant. The following is the core judgment and analysis:

1. The theoretical output speed is determined by the transmission ratio of the reducer (16.86) and the input speed (rated speed of the motor). Lubricating oil is only an auxiliary medium for transmission, and its quality level will not change the mechanical transmission ratio of gear meshing, so it will not directly change the theoretical design output speed of the reducer.

2. Lubricating oil with quality grade adaptation (such as the CKC/CKD series of closed gear oil, suitable for the working conditions of S67 hard tooth surface reducer) can form a stable oil film, reduce the friction resistance of gears and bearings, and ensure that the mechanical transmission efficiency is at the design standard (the conventional transmission efficiency of hard tooth surface reducer is 96% -98%). At this time, the actual output speed is basically consistent with the theoretical speed, without significant attenuation, and the speed stability is good.

3. If low-quality lubricating oil is selected (such as replacing specialized gear oil with ordinary mechanical oil or using low-grade gear oil for medium and heavy load conditions), its extreme pressure anti-wear and shear resistance performance is insufficient, and it cannot form an effective oil film, which will lead to a significant increase in frictional resistance of gear meshing and bearing operation, a significant decrease in transmission efficiency, and the actual output speed will be lower than the theoretical speed, and the larger the load, the more obvious the speed attenuation; At the same time, the oil is prone to rapid deterioration due to high temperature and shear, resulting in continuous fluctuations in frictional resistance and unstable output speed.

4. If lubricating oil with a high quality grade that does not match the working conditions is selected (such as high extreme pressure gear oil used for light load and low-speed working conditions), the viscosity of the oil is usually high, which will increase the viscous resistance during operation, slightly reduce the transmission efficiency, and result in a slightly lower actual output speed. Although the impact is much smaller than that of low-grade oil, it will still deviate from the theoretical design value and increase motor energy consumption.

5. Poor quality low-grade lubricating oil is prone to problems such as oxidation, emulsification, and coking. The resulting sludge and impurities can adhere to the gear teeth and bearing raceways, and even cause meshing stagnation and poor bearing rotation. This not only leads to a significant decrease in output speed, but also causes the speed to fluctuate rapidly, and in severe cases, it can cause stalling. At the same time, it accelerates gear and bearing wear, indirectly affecting the transmission accuracy of the gearbox. Long term operation can lead to continuous expansion of speed deviation.

6. S67-16.86-3KW is a small hard tooth surface reducer, mainly used for light to medium load and constant speed conditions. The adaptability requirements for the quality level of lubricating oil are clear. CKC220 closed industrial gear oil (conventional condition)/CKC150 (low temperature condition) and other suitable grade oils are selected to minimize the impact of lubricating oil on the actual output speed and ensure that the speed is consistent with the design value; If oil selection and replacement are strictly carried out according to the specifications, the impact of lubricating oil quality grade on output speed can be ignored.
