YL series vertical three‑phase asynchronous motors are squirrel‑cage high‑voltage drive equipment specially designed for vertical installation. Manufactured complying with IEC and relevant industrial standards, this series adopts vertical suspended structure, which can bear large axial thrust load generated by vertical pumps and other equipment. Different from horizontal motors, YL series integrates thrust bearing and guide bearing assembly to cope with heavy axial force during operation. It is mainly developed for S1 continuous‑duty working conditions, widely deployed in water conservancy pumping stations, municipal water supply, sewage treatment, flood‑control drainage and other projects. Capable of direct connection to 6kV or 10kV power grid, it simplifies system configuration and brings outstanding reliability for long‑term unattended on‑site operation.

Electromagnetic design of YL series is optimized through finite element simulation, targeting low‑speed, high‑torque characteristics of pump driving scenarios. The stator core is laminated by high‑quality low‑loss silicon steel sheets to minimize iron loss, stray loss and magnetic leakage under long‑time full‑load operation. Stator windings adopt Class F corona‑resistant insulating materials and undergo VPI vacuum pressure impregnation treatment. The tightly‑bonded winding end structure enhances mechanical strength, dielectric performance and moisture‑proof capacity, resisting voltage fluctuation and thermal stress for year‑round continuous running. Two rotor options are available. Cast‑aluminum rotor suits medium‑power conventional conditions, while copper‑bar rotor delivers higher mechanical strength and fatigue resistance for large‑power units under frequent load fluctuation. Every rotor passes strict dynamic balance calibration to control vibration within limited standard range, which is critical for vertical‑type equipment.
The most distinctive feature of YL vertical motor lies in its bearing system. Equipped with independent thrust bearing and upper & lower guide bearings, the unit can sustain huge axial thrust transmitted from vertical water pump. Bearing chamber adopts forced oil lubrication with built‑in oil cooler to stabilize bearing temperature under heavy thrust load. PT100 temperature sensors can be embedded in stator windings, thrust bearings and guide bearings as optional configuration. Real‑time temperature signals can be transmitted to central control system to realize remote monitoring and over‑temperature protection. Standard IC01 open ventilation delivers high cooling efficiency for clean, well‑ventilated pump houses; IC27 pipe ventilation is selectable when site air contains dust or moisture.
The welded steel‑plate box‑type frame features high rigidity and compact layout, saving floor‑space for pumping station buildings. IP23 is standard protection grade; IP44 pipe‑ventilated version can be supplied for sites with slightly polluted ambient air. This series supports both direct‑on‑line starting and variable‑frequency starting according to project requirements. Customized solutions such as high‑altitude adaptation, damp‑tropical anti‑humidity coating and special‑size mounting flange can be offered for different working‑site conditions.
YL vertical motors are primarily applied to drive large vertical water pumps in water conservancy irrigation, flood‑drainage pumping stations, municipal water plants and sewage treatment facilities. Before delivery, each motor completes comprehensive factory tests including insulation resistance test, high‑voltage withstand test, no‑load running test, vibration measurement and bearing temperature inspection. Featuring strong axial‑load bearing capacity, stable continuous performance and convenient on‑site maintenance, YL series vertical three‑phase asynchronous motors serve as preferred driving equipment for global water‑conservancy and municipal pumping projects.
