Some common faults in the use of RV reducers
Common minor faults during the use of reducers include overheating, vibration, noise, oil leakage, and rapid wear of the worm gear teeth.1、 The gearbox has experienced overheating issues
1. The reason for the overheating of the gearbox is:
a. The gearbox is running at overload;
b. Insufficient or excessive lubricating oil in the gearbox;
2. Solution for overheating of gearbox:
The staff can conduct a detailed inspection of the actual load of the reducer, adjust it to the specified value, or replace it with a higher power reducer and strictly use lubricating oil according to the specified oil consumption.
2、 The gearbox is producing abnormal noise during operation
The reason for the abnormal operation is:
a. The rotation and grinding noise of the gearbox have caused damage to the bearings on the gearbox;
b. Knocking noise, meshing
1. Gearbox output is irregular;
2. The handling method for abnormal operation of the reducer is to check the oil and grease inside the reducer. If the user cannot solve the problem by themselves, they can contact the user service organization to help solve the problem.
3、 The air vent on the reducer is leaking oil
1. The reason for the oil leakage of the reducer ventilator is:
a. There is too much oil in the ventilator;
The treatment method for oil leakage in the reducer ventilator is:
Adjust the oil level of the ventilator and install it correctly.
4、 The wear of the tooth surface of the worm gear pair is too fast
1. Overloaded work, long working hours, adjusting working hours/appropriate workload;
2. Lubricating oil quality issues, model not meeting or quality not meeting standards, new standards/suitable lubricating oil;
3. Insufficient lubricating oil quantity, or failure to replace lubricating oil according to the prescribed time due to aging - add lubricating oil according to the oil standard, or replace it with new lubricating oil according to the required specifications after aging for a long time;
4. Quality issues with the assembly of worm gears and worms, or excessively high working temperatures - replace the worm gears and worms, take cooling measures, and lower the working temperature.
