How to determine if there is an overload problem in the gearbox of WPS80-30-B reducer
To determine if there is an overload issue with the gearbox of WPS80-30-B gearbox, the following methods can be used:1、 Direct observation method
Temperature detection: Touch the outer shell of the box with your hand. If it is unbearably hot (>65 ℃) or can only be touched for 2-3 seconds, it may cause overload.
Abnormal sound: Use a stethoscope to stick to the outer cover of the bearing. If you hear uneven friction or impact sounds, it may indicate poor gear meshing or overload.
2、 Parameter comparison method

Current monitoring: Use a clamp ammeter to measure the motor current. If it exceeds the rated value by 110%, check the load.
Speed comparison: Record the speed under no-load and load conditions. If the speed drops by more than 5% under load, it may cause overload.
3、 Long term monitoring method
Temperature rise curve: Record the temperature change during continuous operation for 4 hours. If the temperature rise exceeds 40 ℃ (when the ambient temperature is 25 ℃), overload should be checked.
Vibration analysis: Use a vibration meter to detect the vibration of the box. If the amplitude exceeds 0.1mm, it may indicate gear wear or overload.
