Don't panic when there is abnormal noise from the textile machine reducer! Quickly identify faults and solve them accordingly
Many textile factories have encountered situations where the gearbox suddenly makes abnormal noises. Different noises correspond to different fault problems. Blindly dismantling the machine is time-consuming and laborious, and continuing to operate is afraid of damaging the equipment and affecting the quality of the fabric. In fact, by analyzing the type of noise, the cause of the gearbox malfunction can be quickly determined, and precise repairs and quick resumption of work can be carried out. The faults and solutions corresponding to various abnormal noises in textile machine reducers can be quickly mastered by novice mechanics.1、 Continuous and uniform slight buzzing sound. It belongs to normal operating noise, which is the sound generated by the normal transmission of gears and bearings. There are no hidden faults, no need for treatment, and normal production is sufficient. If the noise slightly increases, you can simply check the oil level and add lubricating oil appropriately.
2、 Sharp and piercing metal friction sound. It is highly likely that insufficient lubrication and deteriorated oil have caused dry wear of gears and bearings. Textile equipment operates for a long time, and after the loss and deterioration of lubricating oil, gears lose lubrication protection, resulting in harsh noise caused by direct metal friction. Solution: Immediately stop the machine, replace with brand new specialized lubricating oil, and replenish the standard oil level; Check the surface of the gear for wear and burrs, lightly polish and repair, and replace parts promptly if the wear is severe.
3、 Intermittent stuttering and rattling sounds. Most of them are caused by internal entry of cotton wool, dust impurities, or uneven gear mesh clearance and slight jamming. Dust in the textile workshop can easily infiltrate the interior of equipment, causing gear transmission to get stuck and resulting in intermittent jamming and abnormal noise. Solution: Stop the machine and turn off the power. Open the end cover of the reducer and thoroughly clean the internal fibers, dust, and impurities; Re calibrate the gear mesh clearance to ensure smooth transmission without any jamming.

4、 A dull rumbling sound and increased body vibration. The main reasons are bearing wear and looseness, or loose equipment fixing screws and transmission eccentricity. Malfunctions can lead to increased vibration during equipment operation, causing not only loud noise but also affecting the accuracy of equipment transmission, resulting in fabric damage. Solution: Tighten all fixing bolts and installation screws of the machine body; Disassemble and inspect the bearing status, replace if worn or loose, and recalibrate the transmission coaxiality.
5、 Periodic impact sound, crisp knocking sound. Most likely it is gear tooth breakage, key strip wear and detachment, or loose or displaced parts. This is a serious malfunction, and continuing to operate will directly lead to the scrapping of the gearbox and equipment shutdown. Solution: Immediately shut down and disassemble the machine, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the gear, key strip, and shaft core status, replace all damaged parts, reassemble and calibrate, and test for accuracy before restarting and running.
Finally, a reminder: Do not operate with abnormal noise faults. Minor abnormal noises should be dealt with promptly, and the cost is extremely low; Delaying will lead to damage to core components, doubling repair costs, and causing downtime and batch damage to fabrics, which is not worth the loss.
