Installation precautions for lubrication system of FA57-34.8-1.5KW gear reducer

1、 Before installation

Confirm lubrication method: FA series mostly uses oil pool splash lubrication; If forced lubrication is required, it is necessary to first confirm that the oil pump, oil circuit, pressure gauge, and oil pressure switch are installed in place.

Check the oil: The gear oil specified in the user manual or nameplate must not be mixed with different brands, viscosity grades, or old and new oils.

Check the oil port: the position of the oil level plug, drain plug, and vent hole should be easy to observe and replenish oil; The plug, gasket, and oil seal are undamaged.

Clean the fuel port: Wipe the area around the fuel port before refueling, and try to add new oil through the filter screen to prevent dust and chips from entering the box.

2、 Fuel quantity and oil level

Horizontal installation: Generally add oil near the centerline of the oil window/oil level plug, or add oil through the oil level plug hole until the oil just overflows.

Vertical or special installation position: The refueling amount varies greatly, and it must be added according to the installation position code given on the nameplate or instruction manual, and cannot be estimated based on experience.

Strictly prohibit overfilling: Excessive oil volume can cause oil agitation, heat generation, increased pressure inside the box, and easy leakage from the oil seal.

Strictly prohibit insufficient oil: Insufficient oil can lead to poor lubrication of gears and bearings, resulting in early wear.

3、 Ventilation and sealing

Ventilation plug must be installed: Before operation, the transport screw plug of the ventilation hole should be removed and replaced with a ventilation plug/cap to prevent the pressure inside the box from rising.

Check the oil seal: The input and output shaft oil seals should be intact, and a small amount of lubricating oil of the same type can be applied to the lip of the double lip oil seal.

Joint surface sealing: Gaskets must not be missed at the flange, end cover, and oil drain plug, and bolts should be tightened evenly in diagonal order.

4、 Additional points for forced lubrication system

Confirm that there are no leaks in the oil circuit, the filter is clean, and the oil pump is turning correctly.

The oil pressure is generally adjusted according to the equipment requirements, with a common range of about 0.1-0.3 MPa. Please refer to the instructions.

Drive or pre lubricate at low speed first, confirm that the oil return at each lubrication point is normal before loading and running.

5、 Trial operation and review

No less than 2 hours of no-load trial operation, check for any abnormal noise, vibration, oil leakage, and abnormal temperature rise.

After shutting down and cooling down, recheck the oil level and replenish it to the specified position if necessary.

It is recommended to replace the lubricating oil and check for metal abrasive particles in the oil after the first 300-500 hours of operation.

The most easily overlooked points on site are: failure to replace the vent plug, filling the oil level according to horizontal experience, mixing different oils, and leaking the sealing ring of the screw plug. These suggestions should be confirmed one by one during installation and acceptance.
