What are the solutions for gear wear in the GKA87-25-Y5.5-4P-M1-0 hard tooth surface reducer?

The wear of gears in hard toothed reducers can be solved by the following methods:

Adjust operating parameters

Reasonable load: To avoid the gearbox running under overload conditions for a long time, production tasks should be arranged reasonably according to the rated load capacity of the equipment to prevent accelerated gear wear due to excessive load.

Optimize lubrication: Choose lubricating oil suitable for hard gear reducers, such as extreme pressure gear oil, which has good wear resistance. Regularly check and replace lubricating oil, usually every 3-6 months, while ensuring that the oil level is normal to ensure good lubrication and cooling of the gears.

Repair worn parts

Surface repair: For gears with less wear, surface repair techniques can be used. If a layer of wear-resistant material is coated on the worn surface using methods such as electric brush plating and thermal spraying, and then the size and accuracy of the gear are restored through processes such as grinding and polishing.

Partial replacement: When individual teeth of the gear are severely worn or damaged, the method of partial replacement of teeth can be considered. First, remove the damaged teeth, then make new tooth shaped components, connect them to the original gear base through welding, embedding, and other methods, and then process and heat treat them to restore the performance of the gear.

Improve installation and maintenance

Improve installation accuracy: When installing the reducer, strictly follow the installation requirements to ensure that the installation parameters such as parallelism, perpendicularity, and center distance of the gear shaft meet the specified standards, reducing gear bias and abnormal wear caused by installation errors.

Strengthen daily maintenance: Regularly inspect the gearbox, check the wear of the gears, and promptly detect and deal with early signs of gear wear. If minor damages such as scratches and dents are found on the surface of the gear, they should be repaired in a timely manner to prevent further expansion of the damage.

Replacing gears: When the gears are severely worn and cannot be repaired for continued use, they should be replaced with new ones in a timely manner. Choose gears with reliable quality that meet the specifications and precision requirements of the original gear for replacement, while paying attention to the fit accuracy between the new gear and other related components to ensure the normal operation of the reducer.
