Ami Series High Voltage Asynchronous Motor: 10kV, 4-Pole, 800-1400kW (AMI 450L4A)

The AMI 450L4A is a modular high voltage squirrel cage asynchronous motor belonging to the AMI product family, designed to comply with IEC standards for heavy continuous-duty industrial operation. This 4-pole motor operates at a rated voltage of 10kV, with a power coverage from 800kW to 1400kW. It is a versatile drive solution widely deployed for fans, pumps, compressors and grinding equipment in cement plants, mines, thermal power stations, metallurgical works and water treatment facilities.

Built on mature modular design philosophy, the AMI 450L4A features standardized stator, rotor, bearing housing, cooler and terminal box modules. The modular layout streamlines manufacturing scheduling, shortens lead time and simplifies field maintenance and spare part stocking. Its squirrel cage rotor is fabricated with high-quality conductive material and precision casting processes, and undergoes strict high-speed dynamic balancing. The rotor maintains low vibration and noise during S1 continuous operation, and can withstand frequent starting and fluctuating load conditions common in heavy industry.

The motor supports multiple cooling configurations with IC611 air-to-air cooling as the mainstream option. The closed circulating air loop separates the motor internal heat exchange air from the outside ambient air, effectively stopping dust, moisture and corrosive fumes from contaminating windings and core components. Matched with IP55 enclosure protection, the machine resists ingress of dust and splashing water, making it suitable for poorly ventilated and dusty production workshops. The stator winding adopts Class F insulating materials with Class B temperature rise limit. PT100 temperature sensors are pre-installed in windings and bearings for real-time thermal monitoring, and space heaters can be equipped to prevent condensation when the motor stands idle.

This high voltage asynchronous motor is engineered for stable long-term operation under rated load. It can work with soft starters or variable frequency drives to achieve smooth startup and adjustable speed, which mitigates inrush current impact on the power grid and reduces mechanical shock to driven equipment. Every unit goes through a complete set of factory acceptance tests including insulation resistance test, no-load running test, vibration and noise measurement before shipment. Custom modifications such as special paint coating, reinforced bearing system, shaft encoder and non-standard terminal box layout are available to meet customized project requirements.
