How to adjust the viscosity of lubricating oil for the WPA200-30-B worm gear reducer based on its operating environment.
The following is the method for adjusting the viscosity of lubricating oil based on the working environment of WPA200-30-B worm gear reducer:In terms of temperature:
Low temperature environment: When the working environment temperature is between -10 ℃ and 15 ℃, if the output speed is above 100 revolutions per minute, 68 gear oil can be used; If the speed is below 100 revolutions per minute, use 100 gear oil. If the temperature is lower, close to -40 ℃, special low-temperature lubricating oil with low pour point needs to be used, and the viscosity needs to be further reduced to ensure good fluidity at low temperatures and reduce starting wear. You can consult the manufacturer to choose a special low-temperature lubricating oil.
Normal temperature environment: When the ambient temperature is between 0 ℃ and 30 ℃, 150 gear oil can be used for output shaft speeds above 100 rpm, and 220 gear oil can be used for speeds below 100 rpm.

High temperature environment: When the ambient temperature exceeds 30 ℃, as the temperature increases, higher viscosity oil should be used. For example, 150 oil can be considered for temperatures above 30 ℃. If the temperature reaches 40 ℃ or above, higher viscosity oil such as ISO VG320 synthetic gear oil can be used to ensure the stability of the oil film and meet lubrication requirements.
In terms of load:
Light load: If the gearbox is in a light load state, a relatively low viscosity lubricating oil can be selected. For example, in the case of light load at room temperature and high speed, 100-150 grade gear oil can be used to reduce oil friction and heat generation, and improve transmission efficiency.
Heavy load: For heavy load conditions, lubricating oil needs to have good resistance to extreme pressure and wear. High viscosity oil, such as gear oil 320-680, should be selected, which contains EP (extreme pressure) additives and anti-wear additives to form a strong oil film and prevent wear.
In terms of rotational speed:
High speed: When the worm speed is high, the fluidity of the oil should be better to reduce stirring loss and heat generation. Low viscosity oil can be selected. If the speed exceeds 1000r/min and the load is light, gear oil with grades 100-220 can be used.
Low speed: During low-speed operation, in order to ensure good lubrication and prevent tooth wear, slightly higher viscosity oil can be used. For example, when the speed is below 500r/min and the load is large, gear oil of 220-460 can be considered.
In terms of environmental cleanliness: If the working environment is dusty, the viscosity of the lubricating oil does not need to be specially adjusted, but the filtration and replacement frequency of the lubricating oil should be strengthened to prevent dust and other impurities from entering the gearbox and contaminating the oil, which will affect the lubrication effect. If a filterable lubrication system is used, the filtration accuracy can be appropriately increased.
