How to determine if the motor and ZL100-28 cylindrical gear reducer are on the same side
Whether the motor and zl100-28 cylindrical gear reducer are on the same side mainly depends on the installation orientation of the reducer and the connection direction of the motor. Usually, whether the motor and gearbox are "on the same side" is not determined by the model, but by the layout design of the overall transmission system. The following is the method of judgment:1. Observe the relative position between the input shaft and the output shaft
ZL100-28 belongs to cylindrical gear reducers, mostly with parallel shaft structures (input shaft parallel to output shaft).
If the motor is connected to the input side of the reducer and the motor axis is parallel to the output shaft, then the motor and the load (output end) are on opposite sides, and the motor and output end are not on the same side.
If the system adopts a same side layout (such as turning through couplings or pulleys), the actual assembly drawing or on-site structure needs to be checked.

2. Check the assembly form of the gearbox
Common installation methods include foot installation or flange installation. If the motor is directly connected to one side of the reducer through a flange, the motor is located on the input side of the reducer.
It can be judged by the following characteristics:
Is the direction of the motor cable outlet consistent with the direction of the output shaft;
Are the couplings or pulleys located on the same end face;
Is there an "input side" or "output side" label on the nameplate or drawing of the gearbox body.
3. Refer to installation specifications and spatial layout
During installation, ensure that the input shaft and motor shaft are strictly aligned to avoid vibration or wear caused by misalignment.
If the equipment space is compact, it is often arranged in parallel, with the motor and reducer installed side by side. At this time, the two are on the same horizontal side, but the output shaft is in the same or opposite direction as the motor shaft.
