How to choose lubricating oil suitable for K47-12.5-Y-3-B55 reducer
Choosing the lubricating oil suitable for K47 gearbox requires consideration of multiple factors. The following are specific selection methods:Consider the working conditions of the gearbox
Load: If K47 reducer is used in heavy-duty working conditions, such as mining, metallurgy and other industries, it is necessary to choose lubricating oil with high viscosity and good extreme pressure and anti-wear performance to ensure that sufficient oil film can be formed under high load, reducing the wear of gears and bearings. For example, medium extreme pressure gear oil with viscosity grades ranging from VG220 to VG460 can be selected. If the load is light, such as in some light load automated production lines, VG100-VG150 gear oil with slightly lower viscosity can be selected.

Rotating speed: For K47 reducer with high rotating speed, it is required that the lubricating oil has good fluidity and anti foam property to ensure that it can be supplied to all friction parts in time during high-speed operation, and the lubrication effect will not be affected by too much foam. Generally speaking, when the rotational speed is high, oils with slightly lower viscosity, such as VG100-VG150, can be selected; When the speed is low, the viscosity can be appropriately increased, such as VG150-VG220.
Working temperature: The ambient temperature and the temperature during the operation of the gearbox are crucial for the selection of lubricating oil. Working in high-temperature environments, such as in the high-temperature workshop of a steel plant, requires the use of lubricating oil with good high-temperature resistance and oxidation resistance. Synthetic gear oil or high viscosity index mineral oil can be selected, and the viscosity grade can be VG220-VG460 according to the specific temperature. In low-temperature environments such as cold storage and outdoor cold regions, lubricating oil is required to have good low-temperature fluidity. Low pour point and low viscosity lubricating oil, such as VG68-VG100, can be selected, and suitable low-temperature additives can be added.
Structural characteristics of matching reducer
Gear type: K47 reducers usually use helical gears or bevel gears for transmission. The helical gear transmission is relatively stable and the load distribution is relatively uniform. The requirements for lubricating oil mainly focus on anti-wear and anti-oxidation performance. During the meshing process, bevel gear transmission generates significant axial forces, requiring lubricating oil with good extreme pressure anti-wear performance and load-bearing capacity to cope with high contact stresses. Therefore, for K47 reducers with bevel gear structure, gear oil with better extreme pressure performance should be preferred.
Sealing form: If the K47 reducer adopts ordinary oil seal sealing, the lubricating oil needs to have good sealing adaptability to avoid affecting the lubrication effect and causing environmental pollution due to oil leakage. If a mechanical seal is used, the cleanliness of the lubricating oil is required to be high. Lubricating oil with high filtration accuracy and low impurity content should be selected to prevent impurities from entering the sealing surface and causing seal failure.
