How to avoid the impact of foundation settlement on the two-stage NGW92-56 planetary gearbox

To avoid the impact of foundation settlement on planetary gearboxes, the following measures can be taken from the aspects of design, construction, and later maintenance:
In terms of design

Reasonable site selection: Choose a site with stable and uniform geological conditions to install planetary gearboxes. Avoid installation in unfavorable geological areas such as soft soil, fill soil, and collapsible loess. If it is unavoidable, special foundation treatment is required.

Accurate calculation of basic load: Based on the weight of the planetary gearbox, the dynamic load during operation, and other external forces that may be borne, accurately calculate the load that the foundation needs to bear, in order to determine the size, shape, and concrete strength grade parameters of the foundation, ensuring that the foundation has sufficient bearing capacity.

Optimize basic design: Adopt appropriate foundation forms, such as independent foundations, raft foundations, etc. For large or high-speed planetary gearboxes, it is possible to consider setting up shock-absorbing foundations or adopting vibration isolation measures to reduce the transmission of vibration to the foundation. At the same time, reasonable settlement joints should be set up in the basic design to accommodate possible uneven settlement.

Construction aspect

Ensure the quality of foundation construction: Strictly follow the design requirements for foundation construction, ensure the quality of concrete pouring, and avoid defects such as honeycombing, pockmarks, and holes. During the concrete pouring process, it should be compacted and cured according to regulations to ensure that the concrete reaches the design strength.

Precise control of installation accuracy: When installing planetary gearboxes, high-precision measuring tools and instruments should be used to strictly control the installation levelness and verticality of the gearbox, ensuring that the coaxiality error between it and the motor and load equipment is within the allowable range. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure the installation accuracy and fastening force of the anchor bolts to prevent loosening during operation.

Proper basic waterproofing treatment: During the foundation construction process, waterproofing measures should be taken to prevent groundwater or rainwater from infiltrating the bottom of the foundation, causing softening of the foundation soil and causing foundation settlement. Waterproof coating can be applied to the surface of the foundation or waterproof rolls can be laid.

Maintenance aspect

Regularly check the basic condition: During the operation of the planetary gearbox, regularly inspect the foundation for any abnormal conditions such as settlement, cracks, and tilting. By setting up settlement observation points on the foundation and using instruments such as level gauges for regular measurements, foundation settlement problems can be detected in a timely manner.

Timely handling of basic issues: Once settlement or other problems are found in the foundation, the cause should be analyzed in a timely manner and corresponding measures should be taken. For slight settlement, it can be treated by adjusting the installation position of the reducer, re tightening the anchor bolts, and other methods; For more severe settlement, it may be necessary to reinforce or re pour the foundation.

Strengthen equipment maintenance: Maintain the good operating condition of the planetary gearbox, regularly inspect and replace lubricating oil, promptly clean impurities and wear particles inside the gearbox, and prevent additional loads and vibrations caused by equipment failures, which indirectly affect the stability of the foundation.
