What problems may improper maintenance of CJY180-90-5.5KW shaft mounted reducer cause
Improper maintenance can significantly shorten the service life of CJY180-90-5.5KW shaft mounted reducer, and may cause chain failures such as gear wear, bearing damage, and output shaft jamming. In severe cases, it can lead to complete machine failure or motor damage.1、 Common damage to gear systems
Tooth surface wear and pitting corrosion
Insufficient lubrication or oil contamination can cause grooves and pitting on the tooth surface, accompanied by increased noise and decreased transmission efficiency. If not dealt with in a timely manner, the expansion of the pitting area may induce root cracks.

Broken teeth and root cracks
Installation of coaxiality deviation or sudden overload can easily cause cracks in the stress concentration zone at the tooth root, ultimately leading to complete tooth fracture and causing severe equipment vibration or even shutdown.
Poor meshing and unbalanced load
Poor alignment of the shaft system or low machining accuracy of the casing can lead to unilateral contact of the gears, exacerbating local wear and causing periodic abnormal noise and temperature rise.
2、 Bearing and shaft system failure
Abnormal wear of bearings: Concentricity deviation can cause additional radial force on the bearings, resulting in local wear of the raceway and a 30% to 50% reduction in lifespan, and in severe cases, the phenomenon of "shaft hugging" may occur.
Output shaft stuck or bent: Lubrication failure or impurities entering may cause the output shaft to rotate inflexibly, and forced operation will cause journal wear, coupling damage, and even motor stalling and burnout.
3、 Sealing and lubrication system failure
Emulsification of lubricating oil: In humid environments, if the breathing valve is blocked or poorly sealed, water infiltration can cause oil emulsification, loss of lubrication performance, and accelerate component corrosion.
Aging and leakage of seals: Failure to regularly replace the shaft end sealing ring can cause oil leakage, further leading to bearing oil shortage and dry grinding, ultimately resulting in sintering and jamming.
4、 Decreased operational stability and safety hazards
Increased vibration and noise: Installation deviation or component wear can cause overall machine vibration (amplitude>0.15mm), which may lead to loosening of foundation bolts and breakage of couplings.
Motor overload risk: After the output terminal is stuck, the motor is in a locked state, and the current can reach 5-8 times the rated value, which can burn out the winding in a short period of time.
