The selection of gear reducer requires attention to the reduction ratio

At present, the gear reducer market is a mixed bag of brands. Although most gear reducer brands often show customers their advantages in hardware configuration in order to enhance the competitiveness of their own brands: such as gear processing technology, oil seal casting materials, etc. 


But sometimes it is difficult to avoid some software configuration problems, so manufacturers must pay attention to its reduction ratio when selecting a gear reducer. The editor will take you to understand the reasonable matching knowledge of the reduction ratio of the gear reducer and the motor power it can withstand. When it comes to gear reducers, the reduction ratio is its first attribute. How is the reduction ratio obtained? First determine the operating speed of the machine, and then calculate the reduction ratio of the gear reducer based on this speed. The reduction ratio of the gear reducer = input shaft speed/output shaft speed = motor speed/mechanical required speed. Changing and modifying the reduction ratio after it is ready is equivalent to making a new one, which wastes the production cycle and delays customer delivery. Therefore, manufacturers do not It is important to consider the reduction ratio of the reducer before selecting it. At the same time, it is particularly important to reasonably configure the motor power of the gear reducer and the size of the gear reducer. This requires a clear understanding of the output torque of the configured gear reducer. 


After calculating the torque of the equipment load, it is determined based on the data on the output torque table. Whether the gear reducer reaches the safe range of the torque that the mechanical equipment needs to withstand. When selecting a gear reducer, pay attention to its safety factor. If the safety factor is too small, the gear reducer of any brand will be easily broken, and it has nothing to do with the quality; if the safety factor is too large, it will also damage the equipment. The design itself is a waste of resources.
