Fatal error in the installation and connection of the output shaft of the cutting machine reducer

When installing connectors (such as couplings, pulleys, sprockets, etc.) on the output shaft of the cutting machine reducer, it is absolutely forbidden to use a hammer to directly strike them. This is an extremely dangerous and fatal error that can easily lead to equipment scrapping.

1、 Why can't I use a hammer to strike?

The output shaft structure of the reducer is relatively precise and cannot withstand axial hammering force. If you directly strike the top of the output shaft with a heavy hammer, it will result in the following serious consequences:

1. Internal component jamming: Knocking will cause the output shaft to retract inward, resulting in the jamming of internal components of the gearbox.

2. Serious abnormal noise and friction: Once the motor is turned on and running, there will be severe friction and abnormal noise between damaged internal components.

3. Equipment explosion risk: Under the operation of high-speed motors, this internal damage can easily cause serious accidents, and even lead to the explosion of the gearbox housing.

4. Bearing and gear damage: Excessive axial or radial force generated by knocking can directly damage the internal bearings or gears.

2、 What is the correct installation method?

When installing connectors, a gentle and evenly stressed method should be used:

1. Using assembly fixtures: Utilize professional assembly fixtures, match the internal threads of the shaft end, and use bolts to smoothly press the transmission components in.

2. Using the shaft end screw hole: The coupling can be evenly pressed into the shaft by screwing in the screw and using a pressure plate.

3. Heating assembly: For parts with interference fit, heating can also be used to expand them and easily fit them in.

3、 Additional installation suggestions

In addition to prohibiting knocking, attention should also be paid to:

1. Be cautious with rigid couplings: try to avoid using rigid fixed couplings as much as possible. If installed improperly, it can cause unnecessary external loads, leading to early damage to the bearings, and in severe cases, even causing the output shaft to break.

2. Ensure concentricity: When connecting, it is necessary to ensure that the concentricity between the output shaft of the reducer and the input shaft of the motor (or the main shaft of the working machine) is consistent. If the concentricity deviation is too large, it can cause the motor shaft to break or the gear of the reducer to accelerate wear.

3. Clean anti rust oil: Before installation, be sure to wipe off the anti rust oil on the motor shaft, positioning boss, and reducer connection parts to ensure the tightness of the connection and prevent unnecessary wear.

Standardized installation not only avoids equipment damage, but also significantly extends the service life of the gearbox, ensuring production safety.
