10kV 630kW‑1250kW, 12‑Pole AMI Series AC High‑Voltage Squirrel‑Cage Asynchronous Motor, IP55, IC611 (Model: AMI 560L12A B)

The AMI 560L12A B is a modular AC high-voltage squirrel-cage asynchronous motor within the AMI product range, engineered to IEC standards for low-speed, heavy-duty continuous industrial drive tasks. This 12-pole motor runs at a rated voltage of 10kV, with adjustable power output spanning 630kW to 1250kW. Equipped with IP55 protection and IC611 air-to-air cooling system, it is widely adopted to drive mills, heavy-duty conveyors, large blowers and slurry pumps in cement, mining, metallurgy, chemical and bulk material processing industries.

The motor inherits the proven modular architecture of the AMI series. Standardized stator core, squirrel-cage rotor, bearing units, air-to-air cooler and terminal box modules are assembled flexibly according to power requirements. This design improves manufacturing consistency, shortens lead time, and simplifies field maintenance, component replacement and spare parts inventory management. The squirrel-cage rotor is manufactured using high-conductivity alloy materials and precision casting processes. Every rotor undergoes strict dynamic balance testing to minimize vibration and noise under S1 continuous duty, and it can withstand heavy starting torque and fluctuating load conditions typical of mineral and cement production lines.

It is fitted with the IC611 closed air-to-air cooling system as standard. Two independent air loops are separated by the heat exchanger: one internal air circuit circulates inside the motor to absorb heat from windings and core, while the external circuit carries heat away to the atmosphere. The isolated circulation prevents dust, moisture and corrosive fumes from entering the motor chamber and damaging insulating components. Together with the IP55 protection rating, the enclosure blocks solid dust ingress and protects against splashing water, making the motor reliable in dusty, humid and poorly ventilated plant environments. The stator winding adopts Class F insulation materials with Class B temperature rise limit. PT100 temperature sensors are embedded in windings and bearings for continuous thermal monitoring. Optional space heaters can be installed to reduce condensation risk and preserve insulation integrity when the motor is shut down for long periods.

This low-speed high-torque high voltage motor is built for non-stop heavy-load operation. It can be coupled with soft starters or variable frequency drives to achieve smooth start-up and variable speed control, which reduces high inrush current impact on the power grid and lowers mechanical shock to downstream driven machinery. Each unit completes a full set of factory acceptance tests prior to shipment, including insulation resistance measurement, no-load running test, vibration check and noise detection. Customized solutions are available upon request, such as anti-corrosion paint, heavy-duty reinforced bearings, pulse encoders, special terminal box layout and other modifications to meet unique project specifications.
