What safety precautions should be taken when preheating the WPWDKS80-20-A worm gear reducer
When preheating the WPWDKS80-20-A worm gear reducer, it is necessary to ensure that the lubricating oil has been heated to above 0 ℃ when the ambient temperature is below 0 ℃ before starting. It is strictly prohibited to operate directly at full load to prevent excessive gear resistance from causing tooth breakage or bearing jamming. When preheating the WPWDKS80-20-A worm gear reducer in a low-temperature environment, the following safety precautions should be focused on:
1. Lubricating oil pretreatment
When the working environment temperature is below 0 ℃, the lubricating oil must be heated to above 0 ℃ before starting. External water bath method can be used to preheat the lubricating oil (water temperature ≤ 60 ℃), and then inject it into the reducer to avoid direct entry of cold oil causing poor lubrication. If the device has a heating interface, an explosion-proof electric heating rod (power matched with oil tank capacity) can be installed, with a temperature control upper limit of 40 ℃. Heat for 30-60 minutes until the oil temperature reaches 30 ℃ or above before starting.

2. Prohibit forced startup and full load operation
It is strictly prohibited to start at full load without preheating. At low temperatures, the viscosity of lubricating oil is high, and the gear meshing resistance increases dramatically, which can easily cause serious faults such as tooth breakage and bearing jamming. It should be tested with no load first, gradually heated up, and then slowly loaded.
3. Safety protection during heating process
If using an electric heating rod, it must be ensured that it is completely immersed in oil to prevent dry burning from causing fire or oil oxidation; During the heating process, a dedicated person should be on duty to avoid local overheating. If using heat tracing insulation, it should be used in conjunction with insulation cotton, and the heating rate should be controlled at ≤ 10 ℃ per hour to prevent stress cracks in the shell due to excessive temperature differences.
4. Sealing and Cleaning Control
During the oil injection process, it is necessary to filter the lubricating oil to prevent water or impurities from entering and affecting the lubrication performance. At the same time, check whether all sealing parts (such as end caps and breathable caps) are intact to avoid oil leakage after heating.
5. Environment and operating standards
The preheating area should be free of flammable materials and corrosive gases, and ventilation should be maintained. Operators must wear protective equipment, follow the heating process in the equipment manual, and are not allowed to change parameters without authorization.
