Precautions for selecting motor reducer for roller conveyor device

The selection of motor reducer model needs to consider the following factors:
The power demand of the conveyor: Based on parameters such as the size, shape, density, and viscosity of the conveying medium of the conveyor, the required power of the conveyor can be calculated.
The torque requirement of the conveyor: Based on parameters such as the load and roller diameter of the conveyor, the required torque of the conveyor can be calculated.
Rated power of motor: Select a motor with a rated power slightly higher than the demand based on the power demand of the conveyor.
Reduction ratio of the reducer: Select a reducer with an appropriate reduction ratio based on the speed requirements of the conveyor.
Torque output of gearbox: Select a gearbox with appropriate torque output according to the torque requirements of the conveyor.
Drive a conveyor with a load of 5 tons, running 3 meters per minute, and a roller diameter of 10 centimeters,
The specific calculation method is as follows:
Calculate the power demand of the conveyor using the formula P=F * V/1000, where P is the power of the conveyor (in kilowatts), F is the load of the conveyor (in kilograms), and V is the speed of the conveyor (in meters/minute).
P=5 * 3/1000=0.015 kW
Select a motor with a rated power slightly higher than the required power according to the power requirements of the conveyor. Based on experience, a motor with a rated power of 0.02 kW (20 W) can be selected.
Select a reducer with an appropriate reduction ratio based on the speed requirements of the conveyor. Since the speed of the conveyor is not given, it is assumed that the speed of the conveyor is 60 revolutions per minute, and the calculated reduction ratio is 20.
I=N1/N2=60/3=20
Select a gearbox with appropriate torque output according to the torque requirements of the conveyor. Based on experience, a gearbox with a rated torque of 0.2 Nm can be selected.
May I ask if this calculation method is correct?
It should be noted that the above calculation methods are for reference only. When selecting the motor reducer model, other factors such as working environment and service life need to be considered. It is recommended to consult professional motor reducer manufacturers or technical personnel to ensure correct and reliable selection.
