1. Uneven installation foundation or calibration deviationIf the flatness of the bottom is ignored during the installation of the reducer, even a small inclination deviation of only a few millimeters can lead to uneven overall force distribution of the reducer. This will not only cause the internal gears to be skewed and friction to intensify, but also directly cause the oil tank level to tilt, affecting the service life and normal operation of the equipment.
2. The overall installation inclination angle of the reducer is too large
Different types of reducers have strict restrictions on installation inclination. For example, the inclination of the axis of a horizontally installed cycloidal pinwheel reducer should generally not exceed ± 15 ° (some precision planetary reducers allow ± 30 °). If the actual installation tilt angle exceeds the maximum range allowed by the manufacturer, it will cause uneven distribution of lubricating oil under gravity, and some gears or bearings will not be fully lubricated, while increasing the risk of oil leakage.
3. Design defects in internal oil collection and diversion structures
Under inclined working conditions, traditional lubricating oil circulation is prone to uneven gravity distribution and difficulty in returning oil, which can affect the lubrication effect. If the oil collection groove, guide plate or return oil channel inside the gearbox is not properly designed, lubricating oil cannot be smoothly collected to the oil pump suction port or low position side, which will result in a local oil pool that is too deep (too large) or a local oil shortage (too small).

4. External loads and rack deformation
During long-term operation of the equipment, if there is a coaxiality deviation between the external load shaft and the output shaft of the reducer, or if the equipment frame undergoes mechanical creep, the shaft end will bear a huge overturning moment. This abnormal mechanical stress will force a slight deviation of the output axis of the gearbox, resulting in a change in the stress state of the oil tank and sealing interface.
5. Improper filling of lubricating oil
Excessive or insufficient refueling can also exacerbate the negative effects of tilting. Excessive refueling can cause the oil pool to be violently stirred, with a large amount of lubricating oil splashing and accumulating at the shaft seal, joint surface, etc., increasing the risk of leakage; Insufficient refueling can cause the oil pump to empty or the lubrication point to run out of oil when tilted.
