How to correctly add butter and gear oil to ZFY500-355-I gear reducer

It is necessary to stop the machine and cut off the power, and wait for the gearbox to cool naturally to below 40 ℃ to avoid scalding from hot oil or oxidation of the oil.

Thoroughly clean the oil filling port, oil level gauge, and surrounding 5cm area of oil and dust to prevent impurities from entering the box.

Prepare refueling tools, butter guns, and waste oil collection containers with filters below 25 μ m, and confirm that the oil product model is compliant.

2、 Correct steps for adding gear oil

First, completely drain the old oil from the tank and clean the metal debris and sludge that have settled at the bottom of the tank.

Remove the top oil plug/vent hole and slowly inject oil through a funnel with a filtering device, with a flow rate controlled at ≤ 5L/min.

The oil level is strictly controlled within the range of 1/2~2/3 of the oil level mirror, and when installed horizontally, the oil level is submerged in the lowest speed gear with a tooth height of 1/3~1/2.

After adding, let it stand for 10 minutes until the oil completely flows back, then check the oil level again. If it is insufficient, add more, and if it is excessive, drain it from the oil drain hole.

Tighten the oil injection plug and drain plug, run without load for 5-10 minutes, recheck the oil level and ensure there is no decrease or leakage before putting it back into operation.

3、 Key points for correctly adding butter (lubricating grease)

Butter is only used for lubricating the bearing seats of input and output shafts. It is strictly prohibited to inject it into the gear meshing cavity to avoid a significant increase in oil stirring resistance.

Select the corresponding heavy-duty lithium grease, clean the oil nozzle, and inject it uniformly with a grease gun until a small amount of new grease overflows from the gap of the bearing seat.

The filling amount should not exceed 2/3 of the bearing chamber volume. Excessive filling can cause the bearing operating temperature to rise above 90 ℃ and the lubricating grease to rapidly carbonize and fail.

4、 Key taboos and subsequent verification

It is strictly prohibited to mix gear oils of different brands and viscosity grades. Mixing mineral oil with synthetic oil is absolutely prohibited.

The new gearbox must be forced to change oil and remove metal abrasive particles generated during the running in period after 20-30 days of initial operation.

After the filling is completed, check the permeability of the breathable cap synchronously to avoid oil leakage at the shaft end caused by the increase in pressure inside the box.
