What are the reasons why the machining accuracy of zdy315-4.5-II hard tooth surface gear reducer does not meet the standard

The machining accuracy of ZDY315-4.5-II hard tooth surface gear reducer does not meet the standard, which is mainly due to the out of control of equipment, cutting tools, processes, heat treatment, clamping, and testing of the three key components of gears, housing, and shaft system. Combined with environmental and human influences, it ultimately leads to the accumulation of meshing and assembly errors.

1、 Gear machining accuracy loss of control (main cause)

Equipment and indexing: Insufficient spindle runout, guide rail straightness, and indexing chain accuracy in gear hobbing/grinding machines; The wear of the gear wheel or worm gear pair in the gear hobbing machine directly causes the accumulated errors of the tooth profile and pitch to exceed the tolerance.

Cutting tools and cutting tools: rolling cutters/hobbing cutters have tooth profile angle errors, installation eccentricity, and blade wear that have not been replaced in a timely manner; For every 0.01mm increase in tool wear, the tooth profile error increases by approximately 0.003mm.

Process and cutting: Excessive cutting speed and feed rate can cause thermal deformation or chatter; Improper clamping force causes displacement/deformation of the workpiece, deviation in tooth orientation and tooth thickness.

Heat treatment deformation: carburizing and quenching cause convexity/distortion in the tooth profile, shrinkage/ellipse in the inner hole, and bending of the shaft; The deformation amount is mostly between 0.01-0.05mm, and the hard tooth surface is particularly significant.

Reference and positioning: The positioning reference of the gear inner hole and end face exceeds the tolerance, or the fixture is worn/lacks rigidity, resulting in eccentricity and tooth inclination.

2、 Deviation in machining of box body and shaft system

Box boring: The coaxiality, parallelism, and center distance of the bearing holes exceed the tolerance (usually required to be ≤ 0.02mm/m); The vibration of the boring bar and inconsistent clamping benchmarks at multiple stations have caused misalignment of the hole system.

Plane and benchmark: The flatness of the installation surface and the verticality of the benchmark surface exceed the tolerance; Incorrect or inconsistent selection of machining benchmarks can cause assembly benchmark deviation.

Axis processing: shaft neck roundness, cylindricity, coaxiality exceeding tolerance; Shaft heat treatment bending (deformation can reach 0.02mm/m) leads to unstable bearing installation and gear misalignment.

3、 Shortcomings in Environment and Detection

Environmental impact: Temperature fluctuations (>2 ℃), vibration, and dust in the workshop can cause thermal deformation and measurement errors in machine tools.

Missing detection: gear detection center and coordinate measuring machine not used; By relying solely on ordinary measuring tools, key indicators such as tooth shape, tooth orientation, and coaxiality are missed, and errors flow into the assembly.

4、 Human error and management oversight

Process and operation: Failure to implement the process of separating coarse and fine, unifying benchmarks, and compensating for errors; Improper heat treatment clamping/cooling exacerbates deformation.

Quality control: Poor incoming inspection, lack of tool life management, inadequate process inspection, resulting in batch errors.
